Oh
so close....
Round 2, 2005
It was oh so close last week for our members, as we
almost got 2 from 2 in a great start to the season!
West Coast dealt with Geelong as expected, and while
Port Adelaide did beat Brisbane, it was a 4 point margin
that kept us from collecting. Considering they held
Brisbane to 5 goals for 3 quarters, nobody could have
predicted 6 goals to Brisbane in the last 12 minutes!
West
Coast v Geelong
and
Port
Adelaide v Brisbane

Collingwood
victory returns 37-1
Round 3, 2005
Our 'Footy Raiders'took full advantage of the upset
results last week, and collected at 37-1 with the Pies
victory over Carlton. That result ensured a profit for
the weekend, with our second selection the Western Bulldogs
missing narrowly against Richmond.

v Collingwood

Upsets
finally catch us out!
Round 4, 2005
After dodging the early season upsets, the Crows spoilt
our party last week by defeating Sydney. The 41 point
margin was Sydneys worst loss at the SCG since
Paul Roos took over in mid 2002, and caught us unaware.
Adelaides score of 120 was also the highest opposition
score against the Swans in that time.

Grand
Finalists let us down
Round 5, 2005
It was last years Grand Finalists, Brisbane and Port Adelaide
which sorely disappointed us last week. As pointed out
by Kevin Taylor at Footystats,
not since 1959 has a Grand Finalist been bottom of the
ladder after round 5 in the next year, as Brisbane currently
are. Well let these sides find form before putting
our hard earned on them this week!

Flood
of money increases our odds
Round 6, 2005
There was a flood of money for the Hawks last week, which
meant our odds on Carlton just kept getting better! It
was a welcome return to the winners list for us, as we
now move into some established form lines for sides.
Carlton v Hawthorn
|
Another
win for the Footy Raiders!
Round 7, 2005
Melbournes 24 point win over Adelaide last week
continued our winning run, and with the season now 7 rounds
old, a big collect for our GOLD members is not far away!
Melbourne v Adelaide
|
Bombers
burst the bubble at 45-1
Round 8, 2005
It was a long time coming, but our members got some back
last week when the Bombers destroyed the Dockers at Telstra
Dome. Our Silver Members are in the Black, with our Gold
Members not far behind.
Essendon v Fremantle
|
Kangas
prove costly
Round 9, 2005
In a week where upsets were the flavour, the Kangaroos
disappointed our followers and could not get within
30 points of the Cats. The loss proved costly, as they
were the best backed outsider of the round.
|
Adelaide
get the Blues!
Round 10, 2005
It was another win for our members on the weekend,
as the Blues easily covered the 28 point spread. Our Silver
members are now in the black, with our gold members collecting
13-1 on the game
Adelaide
v Carlton

Cats
disappoint while Tigers roar
Round 11, 2005
It was another topsy turvey week for our members, with
a disappointing effort by Geelong, while Richmond was
able to turn in a profit. Many of our members also collected
on Brisbane against Fremantle, Port Adelaide against Stkilda,
and Adelaide over Essendon by following our info from
the detailed spreadsheet for the entire round.

Cats
just miss while Blues disappoint
Round 12, 2005
The Cats just missed out on covering the line for our
members last week, while the Blues disappointed in their
loss to Brisbane. Our Members were able to get some back
with wins on St Kilda, Port Adelaide and Melbourne.

42
-1 and 7-1 return last week!
Round 14, 2005
We're getting back on track
, with both Collingwood and Richmond getting up at odds
of 42-1 and 7-1, much to the delight of our members! Traditionally
this has been the best part of the year for Footyratings.com,
and we're hungry for more wins! |
Five
Star Special gets up at 50-1!!!
Round 15, 2005
Sydney, our 5 star special last week, belted the Cats
at the SCG by 54 points, and in doing so returned 50-1for
our GOLD members! The FootyRaiders got on
early, as money flooded in for the Swans to be backed
in from $1.90 to $1.68 by match time. In other games,
we collected on Hawthorn against Adelaide, just missed
on WCE against Kangaroos, and nose dived with the Bombers
against Richmond!

75-1
Winner...watch out here we come!
Round 16, 2005
Fresh off our 5 STAR 50-1 collect 2 weeks ago, we produced
1 bet last week for a 75-1 result!! Geelongs crushing
win over Port Adelaide ensured our Gold Members are on
the march, and Bookies have been warned; with 4 games
up this week, watch out for the FootyRaiders!
Geelong v Port Adelaide
|
|
Doggies
Salute at 64-1, Swans at 18-1!
Round 17, 2005
It was the Doggies demolition of Geelong that provided
the bulk of our profits for the weekend, with Sydney
topping it off nicely! Unfortunately, our profit margin
was decreased by losses to Collingwood and Port Adelaide,
but we still ended up well in front
|
Oh
so close.....
Round 18, 2005
The Kangaroos courageous effort to come back from 40
points down against Port Adelaide produced a great win
for the club, but their 4 point margin was just short
of the 7 points we needed to collect on the game. Were
looking to get back on the winning trail with 2 big
plays this week
|
Doggies
Romp Home at 54-1, Swans at 9-1!
Round 19, 2005
After a tough start to the season, were back in
the black! The Western Bulldogs win ensured a 54-1 result
for our Gold members last week, while the Swans gutsy
win over the Bombers returned 9-1
Western
Bulldogs v West Coast
|
Another
Collect at 11-1
Round 20, 2005
We predicted a close finish in last weeks Showdown, and
thats exactly how it panned out. Our Members took
advantage of the big points spread available on Port Adelaide
and collected at odds of 11-1
Port
Adelaide v Adelaide
|
Kangaroos
Not Good Enough
Round 21, 2005
We needed the Kangaroos to be competitive and get within
22 points of the Swans last week, but a dominant 1st
quarter effort by Sydney saw them lead by 37 points
at Quarter time. That remained the margin at the final
siren, and no collect came our way!
|
Stat
Rating Spot On, scores askew
Round 22, 2005
In a cruel twist of fate, our members lost both games
last week, even though our StatRating prediction was spot
on! West Coast rated higher than Adelaide, and Melbournes
final StatRating suggested a bigger margin could have
resulted.
Essendon
v Melbourne
|
Saints
Too Strong
Finals Week One, 2005
It was another case of the Saints being too strong for
out tip Adelaide last week, even though our StatRating
figures suggested the result could have gone the other
way. It was our 3rd game in a row where this has happened,
and surely our luck has to change this week!!!!
Adelaide
v St Kilda
|
75-1
in a Bookie Buster
Finals Week Two, 2005
Its been threatening for a couple of weeks now,
and our Gold Members took full advantage of the Crows
thumping of the Power last week with a collect of 75-1!
Our Silver Members also had a triple stake on Adelaide,
and collected handsomely.

West
Coast Adds Another 10-1 Result
Preliminary Final
The West Coast Eagles win over Adelaide last week added
another 10-1 result for our Gold Members.
